About
What?
Podcast Stockton is a blog and podcast all about the great life in Stockton, California, hosted by Matt Beckwith and Rod Villagomez.
We feature discussion on local issues, fun things to do in Stockton, technology and social media, listener comments, and interviews with local people.
You can listen directly from our website, our Facebook page or iTunes.
.
Why?
In response to press coverage of our city that nearly always focused on the negative, Matt started Podcast Stockton in 2009, releasing the first episode in March. Choosing to focus on the positive side of Stockton, Matt sought to bring listeners local business reviews, commentary on local issues and interviews with local residents.
In November 2009, Rod came on-board as co-host of Podcast Stockton. Rod’s background in journalism, media and production along with his passion for Stockton made him a natural fit for the show.
